I am seriously not ready for summer to be over…I just thought I would share a few things with you…I am finishing up the quilts made with my new fabric line coming out in December…Lakeside Gathering
s…Here is a close-up of the Mini Tackle box quilt…the nine patch is 1 1/2″…the quilting is 1/2″ apart! It is so adorable…and so fun to make!
Here also is a little tip from Randy who is doing the Summer Block of the Week…wool version…here is his comment…Lisa, I started setting my blocks together and everything is going great. But the last block #13 the 4 stems have to be centered exactly so that the flower is sitting in the center of the light tan block when you set the blocks together. I used my light box to place the wool appliques and one is off slightly but looks ok, but if someone is not using a box they might not get it right and if will be way off when they set everything together. I don’t know if this will matter but I thought it might stop some complaints down the road. All they will have to do is measure the 6 1/2 strip in block 13 and make sure it it sitting at 3 inch, dead center. I forgot to say that i love Lakeside Gathering can’t wait until it is out…
Here is the block he is talking about…I love that you guys are willing to help me and each other out!!! This is what this is all about! Another comment was if we could add the other numbers besides the 2014 for those who might need it for something like a wedding date or birthday…I thought this was also a great idea!
